The open-source Bitcoin development nonprofit "No Big Deal" (NBD) has been established by the Bitcoin gaming and payments startup ZEBEDEE.
NBD launches with a number of initiatives that deal with "hosted channels" on the Lightning Network.
A layer 2 network that facilitates quicker and less expensive bitcoin transactions.
Network connections known as hosted channels don't demand users to deposit bitcoins before executing Lightning transactions.
Other Bitcoin developers will be able to create their own software with the help of the NBD effort rather than depending on for-profit services from outside parties like ZEBEDEE.
"NBD does not sell anything, provide services, or provide product support. It merely creates code and releases it for use by everyone else.
