The Metropolitan Transport Authority and Skanska have a contract in place for the replacement of escalators in New York, New York, USA subway stations.
he deal, which will be counted among the US order bookings for the third quarter of 2022, is valued at USD 113M, or about SEK 1.1 billion.
In six subway stops around the city, including Lexington Ave/59th Street Station, South Ferry/Whitehall Street Station, 145th Street Station, 5th Ave/53rd Street Station, Smith-9th Street Station, and 59th Street Station, Skanska will repair a total of 17 escalators.
The project also involves improvements and associated repairs for those stations.
The project started in August 2022, and it should be finished in August 2026.
