Recently, Ally's online savings account interest rates reached an all-time high.

The interest rate on Ally's high-yield savings accounts has increased.

The Ally savings account annual percentage yield, or APY, increased to a record-breaking 2.25% on Wednesday.

In an email to clients on Tuesday, Ally stated, "As part of our commitment to supply low rates, we continually evaluate market circumstances and other variables.

"We're raising your rate in light of recent developments, so you'll benefit from your savings even more today,"

According to the email, savings accounts with "all balance categories" are eligible for this historically high rate.

A consistent stream of APY-increase emails from Ally in recent months have given account holders a much-needed dose of good news for their wallets amid the misery.
