Long-term investors should ‘absolutely buy now,’ says Jeremy Siegel

It could be tempting to press the sell button and entirely exit this nasty market given that the Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq are all in the red year to date.

However, a well-known economist makes the opposite case.

According to Jeremy Siegel, a professor of finance at the Wharton School of Business, "If you're a long-term investor, I would absolutely buy now."

I believe that these are truly excellent long-term values.

Inflation is one of the factors contributing to the stock market decline this year.

The rate of increase in consumer prices was the quickest in forty years.
