In an effort to simplify bitcoin transactions, the bitcoin mining company BitNile (NILE) wants to launch a marketplace in the first half of 2019.
According to a statement released by BitNile on Thursday, the marketplace will be a multi-vendor e-commerce platform that can be accessed via a web application or mobile device and offer a variety of services.
The Last Vegas-based company aims to increase the appeal of utilising bitcoin for purchases by making it easy.
By providing transaction costs that are lower than those in conventional e-commerce.
Given the stress on profits the sector has been experiencing recently due to bitcoin's low price and high energy costs
BitNile could also be aiming to diversify its company away from bitcoin mining.
